A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Hoskins Street, Greenwich, on Wednesday evening (April 9).

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.28pm, with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, a Tactical Response Unit, and an incident response officer quickly dispatched.

The teenager was found with stab injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre in London. His condition remains unknown at this time.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 5.28pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 April) to reports of a stabbing in Hoskins Street, Greenwich.

“We sent ambulance crews to the scene, including ambulance crews, a member of our Tactical Response Unit and an incident officer.

“Our crews treated a teenager at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”

The Metropolitan Police has been approached for further comment, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Residents in the area expressed concern on social media about the rise in youth violence, calling for increased safety measures in the borough.
