Four teenagers were charged with a disturbance in Deal town centre on Tuesday, 9 April 2024.

Officers were called to the High Street around 4:30 pm following reports of an altercation involving a group of teenagers and several adults. During the incident, two men and a teenage boy were reportedly assaulted.

Police patrols quickly responded, arresting two teenagers near the scene. Two further arrests were made the following day in relation to the incident.

On Wednesday, 9 October, charges were brought against four teenagers. A 16-year-old boy was charged with affray, common assault, and possession of a class B drug. A 17-year-old girl was charged with affray, assaulting an emergency worker, and common assault. Two boys, aged 14 and 15, were each charged with affray.

Due to their age, the teenagers cannot be named publicly. They are scheduled to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 10 December 2024.
